Create a new user in the IAPS Digital Academy
1. Go into Edit mode mode by clicking Edit in the top right corner
2. Enter a group (eg "IAPS DA Resources")
3. Add a new user
- To create a Learner, stay on the Learner's tab. To create a tutor, go to the tutors tab.
- Under Add learner/tutor, create a New user, entering a name and email address.
4. Add the course library to the user
- Select the user. On the right hand side go to Edit courses.
- Select the courses you want the user to have and then Save.
- Or, to add the whole library at once, go to Add product and add the available IAPS Digital Academy Library.
5. Invite the user to the IAPS Digital Academy
- Select the user.
- Click Invite and then Send.
- This will send an email to the user, introducing them to the IAPS Digital Academy. They follow a link in the email to set their account password and enter the Academy.
Create a new group in the IAPS Digital Academy
Groups allow you to organise your staff. They also allow you to control tracking permissions, so that some 'tutors' can view the progress of some staff but not others.
To create a group:
1. Go into Edit mode mode by clicking Edit in the top right corner
2. From the Groups page, click Add group on the right hand side and give your group a name
3. Add the Digital Academy course library to your group. This is an important step.
- Enter your group
- Go to the Courses tab
- On the right hand side, click Edit courses.
- Select the courses you want to be able to monitor. Normally this will be the whole library. To do the whole course library at once, click Add products and select the IAPS Digital Academy Library.
