Tracking your learners: introduction

One of the best features of the IAPS Digital Academy is the online dashboard, which enables tutors to keep track of all their staff members. For every user you can see which courses they've started and completed, when they were last active and how they feel about the content. You can also look at the same information across a whole group of learners at once, or monitor progress in a particular course.

What data can I see?

Usage tracking in the IAPS Digital Academy is based around 4 metrics:

  1. Progress: the percentage of learning activities completed in a course or section of a course
  2. Score: score achieved on the end of course quiz (the overall score for the course). You can also see scores for a user's section quizzes. Learn more.
  3. Last active: when the user last completed a learning activity
  4. Self-evaluation: a 1-5 rating given by the user as feedback at the end of a course or section of a course. Given in response to statements like "I found this useful". Learn more.

Can I assign work to do?

You can assign any module as 'to do' for any of your learners or tutors. This lets the user know that they need to complete the course and puts it at the top of their course library. You can set deadlines so they know when to complete it. Learn more.

Can I download the data that I see?

Wherever you are in the dashboard you can download the data that you see on screen (and more) as an Excel spreadsheet. This is great for adding to your completion records in other systems. Simply go to Download data on the right hand side. Learn more.
