Tutors are users who can see the progress and course completions of other users. Tutors can be:
- Group tutors: who can only see learners in groups that they are a tutor of (they can't see other tutors of the group)
- Organisation trackers: who can see all users and all groups in your organisation, including other tutors
Making tutors for a group
To be a group tutor, the user must be a member of the group.
To make a tutor, go to the group you want to make a tutor for. Click on the Tutors tab and on the right go to Add tutor.
You can then choose from:
- All users - choose any user from your organisation to join the group as a tutor.
- This group - choose any user already in the group to be a tutor.
- New - create a new user as a tutor in this group.
Making a user into a tutor
You can turn any user in your organisation into a group tutor. Select the user in a users list and click the edit icon next to Groups on the right hand side.
Click Add to select a group(s) you want to add the user to and make sure Add as Tutor is ticked.
If the user is already in a group you can turn them into a tutor by clicking the 'mortarboard' icon next to the group name so that it turns orange.
Making an organisation tracker
Organisation trackers are users that can see the progress and course completions of all users in your organisation.
Select the user in edit mode, click Status and click Organisation tracker. Organisation trackers appear in your top-level list of tutors. You don't have to add them to any groups in order for them to see all the organisation's users.
